DJI Osmo Mobile 8

It is a next-generation smartphone gimbal designed to deliver smooth, cinematic stabilization with unmatched portability and intelligent features. It builds on the strengths of the Osmo Mobile 6 while introducing key upgrades that make it more versatile, powerful, and user-friendly.

Compact Design with Built-in Extension

The Osmo Mobile 8 features a foldable, lightweight design that makes it easy to carry anywhere. When unfolded, it measures 288×107×96 mm, while folded dimensions shrink to 190×95×46 mm, making it pocket-friendly. At just 370 g, including the built-in tripod and magnetic clamp, it ensures effortless handling. A standout addition is the built-in extension rod, which has a maximum length of 215 mm, allowing creators to capture wider angles, dynamic selfies, and creative perspectives without needing extra accessories.

Compared to the Osmo Mobile 6, this model seamlessly integrates the extension rod, eliminating the need for external attachments. Transitioning between handheld shots and extended framing is now smoother, faster, and more intuitive.

Intelligent Tracking and Long Battery Life

The Osmo Mobile 8 introduces ActiveTrack 7.0, an advanced tracking system that locks onto subjects with precision, whether human or pet. Combined with the DJI Mimo app, it unlocks creative shooting modes, including Follow, Dual Lens Boost, and cinematic templates. The gimbal supports smartphones weighing 170–300 g, with widths ranging from 67 to 84 mm, ensuring compatibility with most modern devices.

Battery performance is equally impressive. The 3350 mAh Li-Po battery delivers up to 10 hours of operation when balanced, or approximately 5 hours with intelligent tracking enabled. This is a significant improvement over the Osmo Mobile 6, which offered shorter runtime under similar conditions. The USB-C charging port also supports phone charging, making it a versatile tool for extended shoots.

In summary, the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 is a powerful upgrade that combines portability, precision, and creativity. It outshines its predecessor with a built-in extension rod, longer battery life, and enhanced tracking capabilities. Whether you’re a content creator, vlogger, or casual user, this gimbal transforms everyday footage into professional-quality video.
